Please join us for Lunchtime Fiber open studios! There will be plenty of time for show and tell, sharing of ideas and tips, problem-solving, and having fun. You can hang out with us at the SEFAA Center or join us virtually, whichever suits you best. So, drop in when you can and stay as long as you’d like. We meet every Tuesday and Thursday, so register for all the monthly sessions you’d like to attend.

Image: Twelve! by Katrina Stone is an intricate exploration of handwork, fabric manipulation, and personal experimentation. Made with silk noil, flosses, beads, and buttons, the piece incorporates techniques such as gathering, shirring, ruffles, flounces, godets, pleats, smocking, tucking, cording, quilting, stuffing, and darting, all collaged and embellished onto a 12×12 canvas.

Created over a 12-day vacation, Katrina produced twelve hand-stitching samples inspired by The Art of Manipulating Fabric by Collette Wolfe. Twelve! is an exploratory piece that documents her journey through fabric techniques, celebrating curiosity and craftsmanship while remaining an open-ended work in progress.
