Withdrawals and Cancellations

Withdrawals - Refunds, Tuition Transfers, Donations
Your purchase is an important source of income for SEFAA, one that helps our nonprofit keep the lights on, pay instructors, and purchase supplies. So, while our cancellation policy recognizes that plans change, it also ensures that those changes don't result in an unprofitable event.
Please email programs@fiberartsalliance.org if you will not be able to attend the event you have registered for, preferably five business days before the start of your class.
- You will receive a full refund if you find someone to take your place.
- Otherwise, your refund/transfer options are conditional on the number of enrollees on the first day of the class. If your withdrawal does not drop the total number of enrollees below the minimum enrollment:
- You can choose to receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee after the class ends.
- Alternatively, you can choose to transfer your full tuition to another currently listed class.
- You may also choose to convert your full tuition to a tax-deductible donation to SEFAA. We will add your donation to our Class Angel Fund which allows us to offer rather than cancel not-quite-profitable classes.
Cancellations
Minimum Enrollment
We reserve the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment is not met by the published go/no-go deadline. Go/no-go deadlines vary but are generally one or two weeks prior to the start of each class. If we cancel a class, you can opt to:
- Receive a full tuition refund.
- Transfer your full tuition to another currently listed class.
Inclement Weather
We will close the SEFAA Center if DeKalb County schools are closed due to inclement weather. If we must cancel a class, we will contact you as soon as the decision has been made at the email address or phone number you provided when you registered. We will do our best to reschedule the class for a different date, and if you are unable to attend the rescheduled class, you will receive a full tuition refund.
If the class runs as scheduled and you do not attend, you will not receive a tuition refund.
