What is the SEFAA Makerspace?

The SEFAA Maker space is a creative workspace for SEFFA members of all levels, offering equipment like looms, sewing machines, and various tools to support the creation of fiber art. It allows individuals to explore fiber-based projects, learn, and collaborate. Both beginners and experienced artisans are encouraged to bring their textile visions to life.

Who can use the Makerspace?

The SEFAA Makerspace is available to our members during our regular business hours. Members who are under 18 years old must be supervised by an adult.

When can the Makerspace be used?

The SEFFA Maker space is available for use during SEFFA’s regular business hours. SEFFA’s business hours can be found at SEFAA Center. Although the SEFAA center may be open, there may be times that the center is in use for classes, or other activities and the Makerspace may not be available. Check the Community Calendar or with the SEFAA Center Arts and Operations Manager at 678.235.4328 or at info@fiberartsalliance.org. The Makerspace may also be available to members on off business hours by pre-arranged agreed to times.

What Equipment is in the Makerspace?

The SEFFA Makerspace is a evolutionary space whereby we will be adding fiber art equipment as it becomes available to us either through the purchase or donation of equipment. Click on Makerspace Equipment to see what is currently available. The SEFAA Center Dye studio is NOT included in our Makerspace. To use the Dye Studio, the SEFAA Center must be rented for that purpose due to the space requirements and unique equipment needs for dyeing.  To rent the Dye Studio visit SEFAA Rentals.
