Discover the art of reclaiming yarn from thrifted sweaters and give overlooked textiles a second life. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the three C's of sweater selection—construction, condition, and content—and how they can help you identify garments worth unraveling. Each participant will evaluate a thrifted sweater, begin the deconstruction process, and learn practical techniques for reclaiming usable yarn. We'll also explore creative ways to repurpose sweaters that aren't suitable for unraveling, helping you make the most of every textile.

Betsy Williams has been knitting for more than 30 years, collecting yarn for over 20, and unraveling sweaters for the past 15. Her passion for fiber, thrifted materials, and sustainable making brings a wealth of experience to this unique workshop.
