Discover the beauty and versatility of double-faced nuno felt while creating a one-of-a-kind wearable art coat. In this immersive five-day workshop, you will construct a coat by sandwiching fine wool fibers between two layers of silk, creating both the garment and its fabric at the same time. You will also explore an easy way to make custom patterns for any size, design possibilities, the felting process, and shaping techniques. You’ll leave with a comfortable, lightweight garment - one that is beautiful and that fits you beautifully!

Patti Barker’s fascination with fabric and fashion began with her mother, a seamstress, and led her to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art with a concentration in fibers from Western Washington University. An award-winning fiber artist, Patti has explored feltmaking since 2010, creating distinctive wearable art from silk, wool, and soapy water. She lives with her husband and two beloved dogs in a sprawling farmhouse in North Central Florida. Learn more about Patti and her work at pattibarker.com.
