Please join us for Lunchtime Fiber open studios! There will be plenty of time for show and tell, sharing of ideas and tips, problem-solving, and having fun. You can hang out with us at the SEFAA Center or join us virtually, whichever suits you best. So, drop in when you can and stay as long as you’d like. We meet every Tuesday and Thursday, so register for all the monthly sessions you’d like to attend.

Image: See Me Feel Me Touch Me by Sarah Thomsen is a playful exploration of texture, tactility, and material experimentation. Crafted from wool dryer balls, rug wool, feathers, beads, roving, ribbon, pins, felt, various buttons, satin, and velvet, the piece combines stitching and gluing to attach diverse materials to the wool spheres.

The work celebrates the joy of discovery, inviting viewers to engage with contrasting textures and layered surfaces. Displayed in a handcrafted cherry bowl made by Bill Thomsen, the piece transforms everyday materials into a whimsical, interactive study of touch and visual interest.
